Today we decided to head out to a nearby fair, but after it took 30 minutes to travel 1.5 miles on the highway (road construction + accident), we decided to get off at the next exit and head home. Walking around our neighborhood, we discovered today was the neighborhood summer party with a bike parade that started at 1 p.m. Who needs a fair 12 miles away, when you have a neighborhood summer party just two doors down! In addition to the bike parade, there were jumpy castles, a bean bag toss and snow cones. I ran out and bought some bike and stroller decorations while the gang had lunch at home. After lunch Kevin and Leo decorated the bike and stroller. In the end, a snow cone and the jumpy castle proved to be way more fun than the bike ride, but the left over balloons will provide entertainment throughout the week!
